Man Struck, Killed By NJ TRANSIT Equipment Train In Hamilton Township

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A man was struck and killed by an NJ TRANSIT work train late Sunday in Hamilton Township.

The train struck a person who was trespassing on railroad property just west of the Hamilton Station, NJ TRANSIT told CBS2. He was not identified, but he was described as an 18-year-old man.

The train had no passengers and it was making a regularly scheduled equipment move from Meadowlands Center to Morrisville Yard in Pennsylvania.

There were no injuries to the crew, NJ TRANSIT said.
