GRAMMYs To Honor Frank Sinatra With All-Star Concert

The Recording Academy will honor Frank Sinatra with Sinatra 100 - An All-Star GRAMMY Concert.

The special will air on CBS on December 6th in celebration of what would have been Sinatra's 100th birthday (Sinatra was born on December 12th in Hoboken, NJ).

Artists slated to perform include Tony Bennett, Garth Brooks, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Adam Levine, Carrie Underwood and Usher.

“Frank Sinatra is a voice for all generations. His showmanship and artistry have remained unmatched since he began performing professionally in the 1930s to his last recording 21 years ago,” said Neil Portnow, President/CEO of The Recording Academy in a prepared statement.

“Today, he continues to gain popularity for his classic sound and signature style. It’s only fitting that we join the global celebration in honor of his 100th birthday.”

During his career Frank Sinatra won nine GRAMMYs, including three Album Of The Year wins for Come Dance With Me (1959), September Of My Years (1965), and A Man And His Music (1966).
