New Video Released In Yonkers Shooting That Injured 9-Year-Old Girl
NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- New video has been released that captured the chaos during a shooting in Yonkers, that injured three, including a young girl.
Police rushed to the scene near Pizza D'Ora on Palisade Avenue in Yonkers Friday after a report that shots had been fired.
On Saturday, a clerk at a nearby bodega showed surveillance footage to WCBS 880's Alex Silverman and CBS 2 News.
The video shows three men looking in the doorway. An individual in red appeared to pull a weapon from his waistband, Silverman reported.
Shots were fired off camera just down the street, hitting a 9-year-old girl in the chest. The girl remains in critical condition, CBS 2 reported.
Two others were also wounded in the shooting.
Customers inside the bodega scrambled for cover as gunfire erupted on the street outside, CBS 2 reported. A mother can be seen shielding her son while one man dove over a counter, Silverman reported.
"You can't even say 'be careful' because she was just probably going to the store with her and that just happened. Oh man," Latricia Hill said.
The Yonkers police Detective Division was investigating the shooting. Anyone with information was asked to call the division at (914) 377-7724, or send in an anonymous tip by texting the keyword YPD and the tip to 847411.
