On Sunday, the Jets and Giants will square off for the first time in four years at MetLife Stadium. The rivalry has died down considerably over the years, but it's worth noting that there is still a big-brother/little-brother feeling among the two fan bases, and Gang Green hasn't beaten its co-tenant since 1993.
5. August 17, 1969: Jets 37, Giants 14
The only preseason game on this list, it was the first ever meeting between the two teams, and it took place at the Yale Bowl. The Jets were coming off of their Super Bowl title and the Giants were out to prove that the NFL was still superior to the AFL brand of football. The Jets won by 20, resulting in Giants head coach Allie Sherman's dismissal.
4. December 18, 1988: Jets 27, Giants 21
Big Blue needed a win to keep its playoff hopes alive, and it didn't get one on this day. With the Rams and Eagles also picking up victories, the Giants were eliminated from postseason contention.
3. December 24, 2011: Giants 29, Jets 14
In the days and weeks that followed, many Giants players cited this big win against the Jets as the turning point of their season – which ended with a Super Bowl victory.
2. November 2, 2003: Giants 31, Jets 28
Chad Pennington threw four touchdown passes (three to Santana Moss), but a 29-yard field goal with four seconds left in the game gave the Giants the win.
1. November 10, 1974: Jets 26, Giants 20
Joe Namath's three-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter tied the game, sending it to overtime for just the second time in NFL history. The Jets won with a five-yard TD pass by Namath to Emerson Boozer during the extra session. It was the only game Namath would ever play as a Jet against the Giants.
