Former, Current Players Take To Twitter To Rip Commissioner Goodell, NFL
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The saga continues.
Following a report that the video of former Ravens running back Ray Rice hitting Janay Palmer was sent to the NFL in April, the league announced that former FBI Director Robert Mueller will investigate how the evidence was handled.
There have been calls for NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to resign, though he insists that he didn't see the video until Monday.
Many current and former NFL players are unhappy with Goodell and the league, and they have taken to Twitter to vent their frustrations.
Here are a few examples:
"Goodell is on shakier and shakier ground. If it's true, I think you're going to start losing support from owners and sponsors"

Tedy Bruschi
So glad this "independent" investigation is being overseen by two NFL owners. No conflict of interest there. Nope. None at all.

Being a leader is not a part time job. If Goodell holds the players to a high standard, he should be held to that same high standard!

NFL players get fined for avoiding the media and Q&A sessions. Goodell hand picks an interviewer and network. #hypocrite

Ok @nflcommish so let's just say you didn't know. So at best it's negligence. What fine/suspension/penalty would you make up for that?
