1 Person Killed In Hit-And-Run In Flushing, Queens
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A woman was killed late Thursday in a hit-and-run in Flushing, Queens, and police were on the hunt for a private bus that was believed to be involved.
Police were called to the scene around 8:30 p.m., after the vehicle struck the woman on Main Street at Kissena Boulevard in Queens, the NYPD said.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Her identity was not known late Thursday.
Another driver told CBS2 it appeared the victim was on the street for several minutes before anyone noticed.
Police told CBS2 they were looking for a private bus.
There is at least one NYPD surveillance camera nearby, CBS2 reported. The NYPD Collision Investigation Squad was investigating.
