First Alert Weather: Red Alert as strong thunderstorms move through Tri-State Area

First Alert Forecast: CBS2 3/31 Nightly Weather at 11PM

NEW YORK -- The CBS2 Weather Team issued a Red Alert for late Thursday evening into Friday morning as strong thunderstorms moved into the area.

All severe weather warnings in the Tri-State Area have expired.

The severe threat is much lower thanks to the ocean's cooler air knocking down the threats. We've had gusts up to 54 mph, but thankfully not much damage east of Hunterdon County.
