First Alert Weather: Red Alert for heavy rain, flooding risks

A flood watch goes into effect Friday for the entire Tri-State Area due to a storm that New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said could wreak "havoc."

Thursday night: Rain/showers fill in. Locally heavy rain in spots.

Friday: Rain, heavy at times. New York City is under a flood watch from 2 a.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Saturday. Localized flooding/flash flooding possible, with 2-4 inches of rain possible. Highs in the 60s.

Saturday: Leftover AM rain, some clearing. Highs in the upper 60s.

Sunday: Mostly sunny and warmer with highs in the 70s.
