First Alert Forecast: Yellow Alert canceled as storms exit Tri-State Area

The CBS New York First Alert Weather team issued a Yellow Alert for Friday morning.

There is a marginal risk for severe storms and a marginal flood risk.

The greatest threat for a severe storm would be from New York City and areas north in the Hudson Valley.

The front then regroups over the water and passes Long Island mid-morning, and this could trigger a few storms out east as well.

By the afternoon we should be in the clear with a refreshing air mass in store for Saturday.
