First Alert Forecast: Flood Watch in effect across Tri-State Area
It's been a morning and afternoon filled with lots of action, to say the least. Most of it has come in the form of very heavy rain that produced blinding downpours and has been responsible for numerous reports of flash flooding.
Initially, most of the reports were coming out of New Jersey, but the latest reports have been from Suffolk County, where over 7 inches of rain has fallen.
Thankfully, the rain is beginning to wind down. It will linger a bit longer for the Jersey Shore and Long Island through the evening hours. It appears that the heaviest is over though.

Monday, we'll swap a Flood Watch out for an Air Quality Alert that begins at 12 a.m. This is due to the return of Canadian haze.
Overall, tonight will feature clearing skies and lowering humidity, with a low of 73.
Monday will see a continuation of the drop in humidity. Sunshine returns, and so will the heat. Later in the day, the skies will become hazy.
