Fire Rips Through Vacant Building In Dobbs Ferry

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Firefighters on Tuesday evening were battling a fire in a vacant building next to the Saw Mill River Parkway in Dobbs Ferry.

The fire broke out Tuesday night in a one-story building that once housed a tattoo shop, but has been vacant for the past three years, CBS2's Matt Kozar reported.

The fire started in the basement of the building, and was difficult for firefighters to fight, Kozar reported. A total of seven area departments were called to the scene.

No firefighters or pedestrians were injured in the blaze, officials said.
