2 Fires Rage In Palisades Park, New Jersey
PALISADES PARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Fire crews in Palisades Park, New Jersey had their hands full Thursday, battling two raging blazes in separate incidents.
As Joe Biermann reported from Chopper 2, one fire broke out around 5:40 p.m. on the second floor of the rear of the two- or three-story home at 407 Ninth St. in Palisades Park.
Flames were flying on the roof of a rear wing of the building, and firefighters had to bring in extra hands, Biermann reported.
One firefighter suffered minor injuries, officials told CBS2.
Another fire broke out a short time later in an abandoned home at 128 Broad Ave. in Palisades Park, and was raised to a second alarm, officials said. No injuries were reported.
