Fire Destroys Two Homes In Paterson

PATERSON, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A fire ripped through two homes in Paterson, N.J. early Friday morning.

The fire began at around 4 a.m. in a home on Hillman Street and then quickly spread to an adjacent home, CBS 2's Jim Smith reported from Chopper 2.

A third structure, which appears to be a multi-car garage, was also damaged in the blaze.

Though the main part of the fire has been knocked down, firefighters were still on the scene more than two hours later.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire, Smith reported.
