FDNY responds to synagogue fire in Queens

Synagogue catches fire in Queens

NEW YORK - Emergency responders are on the scene of a fire at a synagogue in Queens. 

The fire broke out around 9:30 a.m. at the synagogue, which is located on 108th Street between 66th Road and 67th Avenue in Queens. 

Firefighters say the top floor of the three-story synagogue caught fire. 

FDNY investigators said it appears to be an accidental fire connected to construction work on the building. 

Fire marshals are on the scene working to pinpoint a cause. 

No one was hurt.
