FBI Releases New Surveillance Video Of Queens Armored Car Robbery

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The FBI has released new surveillance video in the hopes that it will lead them to three men wanted in an unsolved armored car robbery in Queens.

The incident occurred shortly after noon on Jan. 31 in Elmhurst.

An armed guard picking up deposits at the HSBC Bank on Broadway was attacked at gunpoint by three men who sprayed him with mace.

The FBI and NYPD believe the getaway car was a green Ford Explorer XLT, possibly from 2002 or 2003, with a dealer or out-of-state rear license plate.

The FBI believes the same group may be responsible for another heist that occurred at a PLS Check Cashing location on Northern Boulevard in Queens on Jan. 25, 2013.

The suspects should be considered armed and extremely dangerous, the FBI said.

A $50,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible, as well as the recovery of the stolen funds.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at (212) 384-1000.
