Father, Son Killed In Crash At East Farmingdale Cemetery
NEW YORK (AP) -- Police say a father and his young son are dead after the father lost control of his car and crashed into a cemetery on Long Island.
The accident happened at 4 p.m. Saturday in East Farmingdale.
Suffolk County police say 44-year-old Ravi Maharaj was driving south on New Highway when he apparently lost control of his car.
Maharaj struck a fence and several headstones inside St. Charles Cemetery.
Maharaj, of North Amityville, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His 11-year-old son, Lochan Maharaj, was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
