Police Searching For Suspect After Man Killed In Queens Shooting
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are on the hunt for a suspect who shot and killed a man in Queens early Monday morning.
The gunfire rang out just after 4 a.m. outside a hookah bar on Steinway Street near 28th Avenue in Astoria.
Charles Williams, 26, of Brooklyn, was shot in the chest and died a short time later, police said.
Witnesses said they heard multiple shots and said the gunman jumped into a car and sped off.
"I just thought somebody was setting off fireworks in the back and I came out and saw the lights shining through my window," one neighbor told CBS2's Meg Baker.
The investigation is ongoing.
