Fast Food Chain Chick-Fil-A Planning To Open Location In Midtown
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) --Good news Chick-fil-A fans!
The southern-based fast food chain plans to open its first franchise restaurant in the city sometime this summer at the corner of West 37th Street and Sixth Avenue.
Chick-fil-A was embroiled in controversy in 2012 when an executive made comments critical of same-sex marriage. But the controversy eventually faded and the company is now looking to expand to the northeast, CBS2 reported.
Chick-fil-A has operated a tiny location on the New York University campus for several years.
