Cops: Man Arrested On LI Had Driver's License Suspended 88 Times
MEDFORD, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A Pennsylvania man whose license has been suspended 88 times was arrested on Long Island after speeding down a major expressway, police said.
Eric Dunbar, 43, of Tafton, was pulled over by Suffolk County Police after driving his 2016 Dodge Challenger at 86 mph down the Long Island Expressway at around 12: 15 p.m. on Sunday, police said.
Dunbar had a Pennsylvania driver's license on him, but police investigations revealed that his New York State driver's license had been suspended 88 times on 25 different occasions due to failure to answer to traffic tickets, police said.
Dunbar is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 1st Degree, and was issued summonses for speeding and for having multiple driver's licenses, police said.
Dunbar will be arraigned in Central Islip on January 4.
