NYPD: Man Pushes 82-Year-Old Woman To Ground, Steals $37

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD is searching for a man who forcibly stole $37 from an 82-year-old woman in the Bronx earlier this month.

According police, the victim was walking near Clay Avenue and East 170th Street at around 6:30 p.m. on June 9 when the suspect pushed her to the ground and stole her purse, containing $37. 

The woman was not injured in the incident, police said.

"She was pretty shook up and stuff," one resident told 1010 WINS Roger Stern.

The NYPD describes the suspect as being 5'7" and was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black sneakers.
