Dog Food Company Expands Recall Over Elevated Vitamin D Levels
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A company is expanding its recall of canned dog food over elevated Vitamin D levels.
Hill's Pet Nutrition recalled 25 varieties back in January. Now it's adding eight more.
The company says the products could have toxic levels of Vitamin D, which may cause vomiting, weight loss and kidney failure.
Its cat foods and dry dog foods are not affected.
The new varieties include:
