Two Times Square Naked, Painted 'Desnudas' Attack 70-Year-Old, Police Say
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - There's been another incident involving the naked, painted ladies who take photos for tips in Times Square.
The incident took place at around 5:45 p.m. Saturday night.
Two 'desnudas' punched a 70-year-old man in the face, police said.
Tarrah Merill, 18, was arrested. She's been charged with felony assault against a person 65 or older.
The other suspect got away, according to police.
The victim refused medical attention.
The issue surrounding desnudas and costumed characters taking photos for tips in Times Square prompted the creation of "activity zones" in the area where that is permitted.
