De Blasio Tax Return Shows Gross Income Of $217,656
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- This Tax Day, Mayor Bill de Blasio released his tax returns for last year.
De Blasio filed jointly with his wife, Chirlane McCray, and reported his gross income of $217,656.
The de Blasios also had $56,200 in rental income from the house in Park Slope where they lived until moving into the Gracie Mansion.
Charitable donations for the de Blasios amounted to $7,215, and total taxes paid amounted to $44,130.
As WCBS 880's Rich Lamb reported, when all was said and done, the two received a federal refund of nearly $15,000 and got back just shy of $6,000 from the state.
Their effective tax rate was 20.3 percent.
