Cops Seek Vehicle, Suspect In Deadly Brooklyn Hit-And-Run

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- Police are investigating a deadly hit-and-run that took place on Rockaway Parkway near Clarkson Avenue in Brooklyn.

At 2:20 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, police discovered Alex Davis, 59, lying on Rockaway Parkway. He was unconscious and unresponsive and had suffered trauma to his body.

EMS arrived on the scene and transported Davis to Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Upon further investigation authorities determined that a grey, 2013-2014, Ford Mustang, had been traveling northbound on Rockaway Parkway when it struck Davis as he tried to cross the street between Clarkson Avenue and Winthrop Street.

The vehicle then fled the scene.
