NYPD: 3 Women Robbed By Unknown Suspect In Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD is looking for a suspect involved in a series of robberies targeting three separate women in Brooklyn.

On Oct. 28, the suspect punched a 54-year-old woman in the face on 28th Street in Coney Island before sealing her pocket book, according to police.

Several days later, on Nov. 1, the suspect attacked a 40-year-old woman after asking her to open the lobby door of her building on West 31st Street, the NYPD said. The suspect pushed the victim up against the wall and stole her pocketbook, which contained an iPhone and credit cards, according to police.

On Nov. 9, the suspect followed a 63-yar-old woman into an elevator in her building on West 33rd Street, where he pushed her against the wall and took her pocketbook, police said.

No injuries were reported, and two of the victims refused medical attention at the scene, police said.

The NYPD is asking anyone with information on the incidents to call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-877-TIPS, or to submit tips online at www.nycrimestoppers.com.
