WATCH: Gov. Christie Hears It From Eagles Fans In Atlantic City

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — Boo birds squawked as New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie celebrated the opening of Bass Pro Shops in Atlantic City.

Philadelphia Eagles fans booed and chanted "E-A-G-L-E-S, Eagles!" as the governor, who supports the Dallas Cowboys, arrived at the megastore on Wednesday.

"The Eagles fans are here, baby," Christie said, chuckling.

Christie drew their ire last year when he sat with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones as Dallas defeated the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field in December.

Christie was joined by former Eagles running back Brian Westbrook, who urged the crowd to give the governor another Eagles chant.

"I love Brian Westbrook," Christie said. "What are you talking about?"

Christie has been a lifelong Cowboys fan even though football loyalty in New Jersey is divided between the Eagles, the Jets and the Giants.
