Ceremony To Be Held Honoring College Safety Officer Killed In 2014 East Harlem Explosion
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A ceremony will be held Friday honoring one of the victims of last year's gas explosion in East Harlem.
Eight people were killed in the blast last March, including Sgt. Griselde Camacho who was a public safety officer at Hunter College.

Her mother, son and the president of the college will unveil a plaque in her memory in the lobby of Hunter's Silberman School of Social Work.
The sudden explosion rocked the neighborhood on March 12, 2014 about 15 minutes after someone reported smelling gas in a nearby building, authorities said.
In addition to the deaths, the explosion left more than 60 people injured and displaced more than 100 others.
Officials believe the blast resulted from a leak in a 127-year-old cast-iron gas main serving the buildings.
