Caught On Video: Bear Nabs Pumpkin Off Homeowner's Porch
MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) - A New Jersey homeowner caught the culprit who stole her fall decoration.
Video shows a bear creeping up to the home in Morris County.
Homeowner Kelly Stephens captured the whole thing on cell phone video.
She says she noticed signs of wildlife about a week earlier, but she thought squirrels had been eating the pumpkin.
When she saw the bear, she says she started to scream.
"I guess my screaming scared him off, so I ran to get my phone and then when I came back, he slowly proceeded to come back to capture the pumpkin," Stephens said.
Video shows the bear picking up the pumpkin and taking off, but he quickly drops it. He managed to get it back and take it across the street for a snack.
