Police, Fire Crews Rescue Sick Passenger On Carnival Cruise Ship In New York Harbor
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Hours after a plane with several passengers experiencing flu-like symptoms landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport, first responders rescued a passenger who fell ill on a cruise ship in New York Harbor.
Authorities say they responded to reports of a passenger experiencing cardiac arrest shortly after the Carnival Horizon departed from a terminal on Manhattan's West Side.
When they arrived, they found a woman in her 70s complaining of chest pains.
Chopper 2 was live over the scene as NYPD crews worked to remove the woman to Staten Island Hospital, where she remains in fair condition.
