Canadian Tourist Helps Police Catch Alleged Pickpocket

NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A Canadian tourist turned amateur cop last week in Newark.

Gary Cislo, 28, of Clark, New Jersey, lifted a man's wallet Thursday on a platform at Newark Liberty Airport's train station, Port Authority police said.

Cislo tried to escape onto a train, but the victim, a tourist from Canada, followed, police said. The commotion caught the attention of officers. When they arrested Cislo, he had the man's wallet in his hand, police said.

Cislo was charged with theft and possession of stolen property, police said.
