Brussels Terror Attacks: The Victims

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Thirty-four people were killed and 214 injured in Tuesday's terror attack at an airport and metro station in Brussels, Belgium.

All of the victims have yet to be identified. A few of them identified as dead or missing have ties to the Tri-State area.

Here is more on some of the victims from Tuesday, March. 22:

Adelma Tapia RuizA Peruvian woman and mother of three, Ruiz was killed in a blast at the airport while waiting to board a flight to New Jersey for her sister's wedding, according to reports. Her husband and young twin daughters were nearby and survived.

Sascha and Alexander Pinczowski: The brother and sister who have family in the Netherlands had been living in New York are among those still missing, Dutch media reported.

Leopold Hecht: The 20-year-old Université Saint-Louis student was gravely wounded and later died from injuries. Pierre Jadoul, the rector of the university in Brussels said "there are no words to describe our dismay at this news." Lit candles and flowers were left outside the university by classmates to honor the young student's life.

Olivier Delespesse: The civil servant was killed in the bombing at Maelbeek metro station, according to his employer the Federation Wallonie-Bruxelles.

Some of the other victims who are fighting for their lives or have suffered injuries have also been identified.

Karen Northshield: The American personal trainer works in Brussels and was reportedly traveling to the U.S. to visit relatives. She is currently in intensive care and expected to live.

Richard Norby, Joseph Empey, Mason WellsThe three Mormon missionaries from Utah fortunately survived the terror attack after suffering injuries.
