1 Teen Slashed, 1 Punched In Fight At East New York, Brooklyn Subway Station

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- One teenage boy was slashed and another was punched in a fight late Monday at a subway station in East New York, Brooklyn Monday afternoon.

Authorities told 1010 WINS the two teens were fighting on the mezzanine level of the Cleveland Street J and Z train station, an elevated subway station at Cleveland Street and Sutter Avenue in Brooklyn.

One of the teens got the upper hand in the fight, at which point the other pulled out a sharp object and slashed him on the back, police said.

Both were rushed to area hospitals under police guard. They were expected to survive and had not been charged Friday evening, authorities said.

J and Z trains bypassed the Cleveland Street station in both directions following the incident, police said.
