Police: Man Strikes Woman's Head, Flees With Her Cell Phone In Brooklyn
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork)-- A woman was robbed and assaulted while walking in Brooklyn last week, police said.
On Tuesday, July 26, the 46-year-old woman was walking on Montauk Avenue and Hegeman Avenue in East New York around 10 p.m. when a man came up behind her and struck the back of her head with an unknown object, police said.
The woman fell to the ground and the man stole her cellphone and fled on foot.
The victim was removed to Brookdale Hospital for her injuries.
The suspect is described as a 20-year-old black man with a slim build.
