2 Women Stabbed, 6 Others Burned With Drano In Crown Heights Fight
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A dispute that may have started on Facebook ended in a violent brawl on the streets of Brooklyn.
The vicious fight started among two groups of women at Crown Street and Schenectady Avenue in Crown Heights around midnight.
Two of the women were stabbed. They are listed in stable condition.
Six others, ranging in age from 17 to 22, were doused with Drano and had to be treated at a hospital for burns.
Residents are outraged by the behavior.
"All around the world you see instances in which human beings don't behave like human beings and it's despicable, and upsetting, and heartbreaking," one woman said. "To raise the next generation, we need to go into the schools and we need to encourage tolerance, and conversation and discussion and settling differences without Drano."
Police were still on the scene Thursday morning, recovering weapons on the sidewalk and trying to sort out what happened.
