Police: Suspects Beat Man, Woman In Bronx Subway Station
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police late Tuesday were searching for two suspects in an attack on a man and woman in a Bronx subway station last week.
Police said around 5:50 a.m. Monday, Sept. 6, the suspects were harassing a 28-year-old woman in the Grand Concourse No. 4 train station. The woman's 21-year-old boyfriend intervened, and one of the suspects put him in the headlock while the second suspect began punching the man several times in the head and body, police said.
When the woman tried to stop the assailants, they punched her in the face and knocked her to the ground, police said.
The woman was left unconscious with cuts to her face, while the man suffered fractures to his face, police said. Both were treated at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, police said.
Both suspects were described as black males between 18 and 25, standing 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 inches tall.
One was last seen wearing a black and gray T-shirt with the word "ninety" and the numeral "3" on it, and white jeans and black sneakers. The other last seen wearing a black T-shirt and dark-colored pants.
