NYPD Searching For Suspect After Police-Involved Shooting In The Bronx
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD is looking for a suspect after a police-involved shooting in the Bronx.
Police say officers responded to a robbery in progress at a cell phone store near 174th Street and Hoe Avenue in East Morrisania around 6:30 p.m.
According to investigators, officers were met with an armed man who showed his weapon.
At least one officer fired a shot. The suspect took off.
Police recovered a handgun at the scene. No arrests have been made.
Two officers were treated at a local hospital for ringing in their ears.
