Police: Teenage Suspect Robbed Man, 67, In The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police were searching for a teen with a spiked backpack Tuesday, in connection with the robbery of a 67-year-old man in the Bronx.

The suspect came up to the 67-year-old man around 1:30 p.m. Monday as he entered a building in at an unspecified address in the 48th Precinct, police said. The suspect out a gun and demanded money, police said.

The suspect then reached into the man's pocket and took his wallet containing $7, his Social Security card, and his Medicaid card before running off, police said.

The suspect was described as a black male in his teens, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 180 pounds.

Police said he was carrying a Madpax dinosaur spikes backpack or something similar. Surveillance video was released Wednesday night.
