Police: 4 Suspects Sought In Violent Home Invasion, Robbery In The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for four suspects who they said are wanted in connection with a violent home invasion and robbery in the Bronx.

It happened around 6 p.m. Monday at an apartment on East 143rd Street.

A 37-year-old man was walking into his apartment when the suspects, armed with a gun, pushed their way in, police said. Once inside, they forced the man to his knees, put the gun to his head and demanded property, police said.

That's when police said a 39-year-old woman who was in the shower heard the commotion and came running out, police said. One of the suspects grabbed the woman, forced her into the bedroom and "demanded to know where the money was," police said.

The woman was then sexually abused before the suspects took off with money, cell phones and keys, police said. The two victims refused medical treatment.

Police have released surveillance video and photos of the suspects.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS, visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or text tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
