Police Release Photo Showing Gunpoint Robbery Of Bronx Gas Station
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Monday released a video showing the robbery of a Bronx gas station, a day after the suspect made off with nearly $1,000.
The robbery happened just before 10 p.m. Sunday at the gas station at 4643 Third Ave. in the Belmont section of the Bronx, police said.
The suspect walked into the gas station, took out a gun, and demanded money from the 37-year-old clerk, police said.
The suspect made off with $968, police said.
Police have released a video of the robbery in progress. The suspect is seen wearing an orange hoodie and a green mask, as he holds a black handgun toward the person behind the cash register.
He takes a wad of cash that appears to be handed to him from the other side of the counter, and runs off.
