Early Morning Fire Damages Bronx Deli
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Crews rushed to put out an early morning fire that ripped through a Bronx deli.
It happened around 2:40 a.m. Saturday at the Espinal Food Center on University Avenue in Highbridge.
Officials say when firefighters arrived, they saw smoke pushing out of the front of the store. They had to work past the roll down gates in order to get inside.
Firefighters got it under control in about an hour. No one was hurt.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
