Report: Bronx Woman Found Dead After Allegedly Taking Ambien
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- There are questions and concern over the death of a 20-year-old woman in the Parkside Houses on Arnow Avenue in the Bronx.
Sources told the Daily News her boyfriend found her unresponsive Saturday morning after she took the sleeping pill Ambien the night before.
Her neighbor Irene told 1010 WINS' Derricke Dennis it's distubring.
"Yes, it is," she said. "Because I heard that she was very young. So if she just took a regular dose, take it off (the market) because it's too dangerous."
The NYPD would not immediately confirm the Ambien connection.
One man told Dennis his girlfriend takes the drug despite so many reported side effects.
"Vomiting, this, that and everything else, and me personally, I go all natural," he said.
An autopsy will determine the official cause of death.
