Fire Sweeps Through 6-Story Bronx Apartment Building

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- An extra-alarm fire swept through a six-story apartment building in the Bronx Monday evening.

The fire broke out in the building at 653-657 Crotona Park North in the Crotona Park section of the Bronx, and was raised to four alarms, the FDNY said.

The fire raged from the third floor through the sixth floor, the FDNY said.

The fire was under control in just over an hour, with two minor injuries to firefighters reported.

The Monday night blaze marked the first time that the FDNY has used drone technology to help fight a fire. CBS2's cameras captured the drone in action.
