Police Search For Suspects In Robberies Of Women In Brighton Beach
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Wednesday were trying to identify multiple suspects in a string of robberies targeting women in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn earlier this month.
Around 12:55 p.m. Jan. 7, a 79-year-old woman was walking near Brighton 1st Street and Ocean Parkway when the suspects came up and took her pocketbook, police said. The suspects ran off.
Around 12:15 p.m. Jan. 8, the suspect struck again, this time targeting a 64-year-old woman, police said. The woman was walking near Brighton 5th Street and Oceanview Avenue, when the suspects pushed her to the ground and took her cellphone from her hand before fleeing, police said.
And around 3:30 p.m. Jan. 11, the suspects targeted a 55-year-old woman who was walking near Brighton Beach Avenue and Brighton 6th Street, police said. They came up and took her purse from her shoulder before running off, police said.
Police have released a surveillance video of four suspects. They were said to be about 15 years old.
