In an effort to provide listeners with their baseball fix, Al Dukes booked Yankees general manager Brian Cashman to be a guest on the radio program Thursday morning.
The longtime executive later called in and promoted some admirable work his is doing with Covenant House, which benefits the homeless, specifically homeless children.
In addition, Cashman talked a little about the Bombers' offseason thus far, what he sees as a bright future thanks in large part to guys like Aaron Hicks and Didi Gregorius. He also discussed his aging superstar, Alex Rodriguez, CC Sabathia'a battle with alcoholism, holding on to young players and much more.
Before Cashman said goodbye things did get a bit awkward, thanks to Craig asking the GM if he expects to be invited to Derek Jeter's wedding.
You can probably imagine how Cashman responded.
