Police Recover Missing Worker's Body From Passaic River
PASSAIC, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Police have recovered the body of the worker who was swept away in the Passaic River during a storm surge Monday afternoon.
The body was found Wednesday near the Union Avenue bridge in Rutherford.
Authorities say the private contractor and another worker were inspecting the President Street bridge over Weasel Brook, which feeds into the Passaic River, when heavy rains pounded the area Monday.
The worker slipped off the bridge and was swept away in the water.
