Black Restaurant Week kicks off Friday in NYC, with more than 100 taking part

Black Restaurant Week begins

NEW YORK -- Black Restaurant Week kicks off Friday across New York City. 

The event runs until July 3, giving people more than a week to celebrate.

It showcases the flavors of African American, African and Caribbean cuisine. 

More than 100 Black-owned restaurants are taking part this year.
