Billy Joel To Sing National Anthem Before Game 3 Of World Series

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) — There's even more excitement in store for Game 3 of the World Series.

A spokesman for Billy Joel told Newsday the "Piano Man" will lead Citi Field in the national anthem prior to the game Friday night between the Mets and the Kansas City Royals.

The Mets have a long history with Joel.

This season, they played Joel's "Piano Man" as a sing-along in the middle of the 8th inning break and sometimes played "New York State of Mind" after a Citi Field win.
