Bettman On WFAN: Eastern Conference Finals To Start Saturday Afternoon

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- WFAN co-hosts Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton wanted to know when exactly the New York Rangers would be playing again after their Game 7 win over Pittsburgh.

Luckily, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman is a friend of the program and called in Wednesday to shine some light on the subject.

"The Eastern Conference finals will start on Saturday afternoon against the winner of tonight's Montreal-Boston game, which everybody should watch," he said.

So there you have it, though Bettman wasn't 100 percent sure about the start time for Game 1. He believes the puck will drop at 1 p.m.

"Don't hold me to that," Bettman said.
