Maplewood Man Charged In Connection To Mother's Murder

MAPLEWOOD, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A man in Maplewood is being charged in connection to his mother's murder.

Seventy-year-old Gwen Avrut died at her home on South Orange Avenue on Monday after suffering what investigators are calling "serious injuries."

Thirty-five-year-old Benjamin Avrut, also of Maplewood, has been arrested and faces murder charges.

The cause of Gwen Avrut's death will be released following an autopsy.
