Video: Serial Bank Robbery Suspect Jumps Over Teller Counter, Demands Cash

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are searching for a suspect in connection to a series of bank robberies in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Surveillance video provided by the NYPD shows an unidentified male suspect passing a note and making threats to a bank teller at a Capital One bank location on 9th Avenue in Midtown on Nov. 28. The suspect then climbs over the teller counter and takes money out of the cash box before fleeing the scene.

According to police, the suspect also struck a Chase Bank location on Third Avenue in Manhattan on Nov. 23 and a Citibank location in Brooklyn on Nov. 25.

The NYPD describes the suspect as a 40-year-old man, standing around 5'8" tall and weighing around 190 pounds. Police say the suspect was last seen wearing a puffy red and black jacket, dark pants and multi-colored sneakers.
